Spring/Summer 2014: Who Wore It Better? Beyoncé or Jennifer?

When Tom Ford presented his Spring/Summer 2014 Womenswear Collection in September we knew it would only be a matter of time until someone in the entertainment industry was spotted wearing one of the sleek mini dresses. I suspected Rihanna would be the first woman we’d see wearing one but it turns out I was wrong.

On December 21, 2013, Beyoncé Knowles held a private release party and screening for her new album Beyoncé in New York City. What better way to stop the press at the event than by wearing a TOM FORD black mosaic mini dress and black mosaic boots?  This particular dress was one of my favorite pieces from the collection and who better to wear it than Queen Bey herself? Hopefully we’ll see her rocking another piece from the collection when she performs at the Grammy Awards on January 26th.

The second woman to wear Spring/Summer 2014 turned out to be Jennifer Lopez.  On January 14, 2014, Lopez was spotted at the American Idol XIII Season Premiere Event in Los Angeles rocking a TOM FORD Cutout Leather on Plonge Long-Sleeve Fitted Dress with Powernet. (Editor Note: In case you aren’t certain what “plonge” is (like me!)… plonge leather is a fully aniline drum-dyed lambskin. Only blemish free skins are dyed using this method and it results is an incredibly soft handle leather.)
