Have you ever attempted to follow TOM FORD on multiple social media platforms? If so, you likely noticed two things:
- Your choices were limited to the official TOM FORD Facebook Page
- There are more than a few fake pages claiming to be “official” on twitter/instagram/etc.
Given the air of mystery and exclusivity that has long been synonymous with the brand this wasn’t exactly surprising. I don’t think it would be a stretch to say that TOM FORD the brand doesn’t need social media to thrive in this day and age. It really doesn’t. The brand’s reputation is enough to bring it success. However, we live in an extremely tech-savvy world and TOM FORD’s lack of social media presence has always seemed like a lost opportunity to me.
In recent years we have seen a shift away from the non-disclosure agreements and social media bans that used to be a part of TOM FORD seasonal presentations. It is refreshing to see bloggers at the shows and I love the real-time tweets and instagram snaps and vids. Ford’s stance on social media has undergone an obvious shift in the last few years and he has – dare I say it – finally embraced it.
If you were paying attention recently you may have noticed an increased TOM FORD social media presence. A soft launch of twitter and instagram accounts. A Pinterest board.
Today, the brand officially announced an expanded social media presence to coincide with the launch of the e-commerce site.

I admit it. Ever since the official TOM FORD website began teasing us with images of the upcoming Online Store launch, I have become a bit of a stalker.
I wake up every morning and check to see if the store is live.
Then I check again at lunch. Then dinner.
I get one more peek in before I call it a night.
I may even sneak a few quick looks during the work day.
It’s been like that since February 28th.
Every day, the promo images continued to tease and entice me. Beckoning me. Driving me crazy with anticipation.
Until today.

A few weeks ago I shared some information on the TOM FORD Beauty Spring 2014 Color Collection. The highlight this season are undoubtedly the new Lip Color Conditioners (aka, the Lip Color Sheer Collection).
To recap, the “official” word on the Lip Color Sheers is as follows:
“This exclusive new Lip Color collection, featuring eight indispensable shades, is housed in Tom Ford’s iconic ivory and golden case. The semi-translucent formula, in a distinct beveled form, contains a blend of moisturizing ingredients, such as Vitamin C and E, shea butter, and other natural oils.
TOM FORD Beauty was kind enough to send me 6 of the 8 shades to try, and I was so impressed with the formula and color pay-off that I went and instantly purchased the remaining two colors (Firecracker and Incorrigible) on my own.

In the surprise of the day, the TOM FORD Beauty Spring 2014 Collection is available online today.
Little news regarding the collection had been available prior to today so we haven’t had time to fully appreciate the deliciousness of the collection and anticipate its release. Nevertheless, it doesn’t disappoint.
The ad campaign stars Tom Ford’s latest muse, the beautiful Betty Adewole, and was shot by Ford himself.
The best news of all? That iconic ivory and gold packaging we all know and love is back!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… those of us who only dream about owning a $10,000 TOM FORD gown can have our own little slice of TOM FORD heaven thanks to the handbags, footwear and jewelry available to us. Not to mention TOM FORD Beauty.
For as much as I anticipate every season’s TOM FORD Womenswear Collection (and I do, I definitely definitely do) I can barely control my excitement when I see the accessories that accompany the clothing. Why? Because those handbags and heels are more attainable for me and they — just like the clothing — never disappoint.
